Being the only intern during my time, it allowed me an extremely hands on experience, that I would not have been able to have anywhere else. Coming in to this internship I thought I knew everything I needed to know about social media because my generation grew up with social media at our fingertips from a very young age; however there were still so many features that I had never heard of before working with Cynthia. I have received vast amounts of knowledge about social media, marketing proposals, Videography, and so much more. I am eternally grateful for this knowledge as it will help me in my future career.

“I was pleasantly surprised when ESMS welcomed me to their team. The other interns were college students—most of which were marketing majors. Having just graduated high school, I was anxious about being able to keep up. I’ve learned that I actually know a lot about marketing from just being a Generation Z consumer. I’ve also learned that there is a considerable amount to learn from being on the other side of the advertisements. I am not sure what I want to do with my career yet—it might not have anything to do with marketing! Either way, I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn about how marketing impacts small businesses in our community. I can’t wait to see how this internship influences my next steps.”
